Good Morning All! First, I would like to say Happy Happy Birthday to My Beautiful Niece! She turns 17 today. I hope you have an amazing day, even though you have to go to school.
For today's Thrifty Thursday project, I am showing you all a colorful and vibrant Birthday Card I created for my Niece. She Loves Cupcakes and lots of color. So, what better way to combine those two, if not in a card.
I love how My Creative Time products make this card look like it took a lot of work to make. Yet, no time at all it was created. These dies and sentiment stamp can be seen and purchased HERE, along with many more My Creative Time products.
Of course I have to save every scrap of ribbon I have leftover from previous projects. These pieces were enough to create a border across the card and attach a small bow. Looking through my stash of brads, I managed to find a cupcake brad... perfect embelly! I just added some stickles for added shine.
I love using some of the My Creative Time stamped sentiments, for the inside of the card as well.
The base of the card measured 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
Every background paper for it was cut 1/4" smaller than the other.
I like to cut my leftover scraps into 6"x6" for card backgrounds. Then, the smaller scraps I like to save as well for die cuts. Every leftover piece seems to be useful in my craft room.
Thank you so much for stopping by to view my Thrifty Thursday project. Be sure to head on over to My Creative Time to take a look at the rest of the Design Team projects!
