My Creative Time's Designer Challenge

Fabric and Stitches- Giftcard Tag for the Holidays

Sweet Thursday Morning All! Welcome back for another Designer Challenge, with Rosy from Sweet Delights Paper and More. For this Challenge, I want to incorporate Fabric and Stitches to our Projects. Any type of project goes. Meaning, you are welcome to create a Card, Layout, Home Decor, or 3-D Project. As long as you are using MY CREATIVE TIME PRODUCTS as well.

Here are some pics of My Project, which I created for this Designer Challenge:

I cut two tags out of hot pink felt. Stiff felt makes a better more crisp cut. One of the tags was cut in half to create a pocket. I used clear glue to adhere the pocket part onto the tag.

A small rectangle scrap of fabric was sewn to the pocket. My Daughter wanted to practice her needle stitches technique. So, I let her stitch this rectangle versus using my sewing machine. Recently, Gamma taught her to use a thread and needle. Cut a hot pink heart from a My Creative Time Stitched Heart Die. Added ribbon, rickrack, button, and some bling for embellishments.

The color combo I chose came from this Giftcard.

I am thinking of creating more Giftcard Tags for Table Napkin Accents for Thanksgiving and inserting something sweet in the pocket. How about a Christmas Tree Giftcard Tag? Or a Teacher Giftcard Tag? The GiftCard Tag Theme has endless possibilities. I hope you were inspired to create something fun for this Challenge. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
Dont Forget:
For this Challenge, I want to incorporate Fabric and Stitches to our Projects. Any type of project goes. Meaning, you are welcome to create a Card, Layout, Home Decor, or 3-D Project. As long as you are using MY CREATIVE TIME PRODUCTS as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Also, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT. I would love to read what you thought of today's Challenge!

Scrapping the Little Things with My Creative Time

Thanksgiving Memories...

Happy Happy Monday Crafty Friends! What better way to start your Monday, if not with some fabulous inspiration with My Creative Time and Design Team. For our challenge project today was a Project Life or Smashbook page, if not a scrap page similar to them. I do not own Project Life or a Smashbook. So, I decided to create a scrap page similar to Project Life. For my page, I did not attach photos due to waiting for Thanksgiving 2012. I wanted to get ahead start on my pages for this holiday. Although My Mom still is not in celebrating holidays due to my Dad's passing this summer. I plan to make the best of it, since I have not been home for the holidays for a few years. Let's get started by showing a few pics of my page:

I am really Lovin' these fall colors! The plum color ribbon is from Michael's dollar bin. It really adds a beautiful accent color to the entire page.

Stop by My Creative Time every other Monday for some Project Life and Smashbook Inspiration.

I used the photo frame die to make the edge under the journal tags. Adhered the edges to the background tag. Then, slipped the top layer tag behind the curvy edge.

Layered leaves and added some foam dots to some leaves for dimension. A photo frame was added to the layered mats for a more raised look.

My Creative Time 3-D Wednesday

Mini Notebook and Pencil with Topper...

Happy Wednesday All! Welcome back for another 3-D Wednesday starting at My Creative Time. The project request was to ALTER any type of object and put a creative alter to it. For my project I chose to alter a dollar bin mini notebook with pen. Also, I made a topper for a fall theme pencil. Here are some pics of my project:

This CUTE set is perfect for Teacher Giftsets.

The rosette was trimmed at 1 1/2" and score lines were made with a MS score board at every 1/2" each.

Leaves and Sentiment were made from Piles of Smiles Stamp and Die Set.
Stickles was added to the button pumpkin and sentiment leaf.

Left over leaves were adhered to the piece of cardstock cover.
Cording and a pumpkin covered with Stickles are adhered to the mini pen.

Scallop and Stitched Circle Die Set were used as well to accent Sentiments.
Foam squares are used to raise circles and some leaves.

My Creative Time- Designer Challenge

Hello There Card...

Hello There... Welcome to my crafty blog! Today, I would like for you to enjoy My Creative Time Designer Challenge brought to you by our Design Team Member, Shar. The Challenge is to make 3 Flowers incorporating buttons or jewels. Also, of course to use My Creative Time Stamps and/or Dies.  For my project, I created  a Card using My Creative Time Just Tags Stamp and Die Set. Here is a few shots of my Project for today:

For the Glass Window Effect: I Cut a square to fit behind top tag layer. Added grey lines with Copic Marker. Glossy Accents was added to give window pane effect. Top stitched Tag layer was cut in half and adhered to bottom layer on the side edges. Put some black rhinestones as window knobs.

Adhered light aqua blue rhinestone flowers to flower box. Put a small black center with black puffy paint. The yellow flowers were punched from two size circles. I colored (BIC Markers) some mini buttons to go with the challenge color pallete. Pnched some mini Butterflies and added lime green stickles to them.
The flower box was cut and adhered together from a scrap piece. Punched a white cardstock piece with a border punch and adhered it to the flower box. I decided to stamp this cute mini sentiment to the flower box with some black archival ink.

The inside of the card with a sentiment from My Creative Time's stamps.
Color Palette for this Challenge
