MCT's Thrifty Thursday

Will You Be My Valentine?

Good Morning All... Welcome back to my Crafty Lil' Blog for a new and Fun episode of Thrifty Thursday. I really enjoyed today's project because I got to use any scraps left over from of my previous projects.  This is what I came up with:

As you can see from my previous project, I also used leftover buttons and ribbon as well. This card is also similar to the last card and using the same technique as well from the last Challenge.

I really liked how the stamped image looked inside the heart and on top of the vellum layer.

Instead of a thread element going through the holes of the buttons, I decided to fill the holes with red stickles. It gives the card a bit of a glittered finish. The corners were punched with a Stampin' Up punch (don't remember the name of it). And of course, I have to use my favorite look, a nice clean ribbon to the card to finish it off.

Thanks again Crafty Friends, for stopping by my Lil' Crafty Corner. Please be sure to stop by My Creative Time for more Thrifty Thursday Inspiration from the rest of the Talented Design Team!

MCT's Designer Challenge Thursday

Hello Kitty Valentine Card...

Good Morning Crafty Friends!Welcome back to my Crafty Blog. I wanted to share with all of you another episode of My Creative Time- Designer Challenge. Today's Design Team Host is Liz from Liz's Paper Loft. For her Challenge, she is asking all of us to use 1-2-3: 1 Bow, 2 Pattern Papers, and 3 Buttons. This is what I came up with:

White Cardstock Background, Black/White polka dotted matted background, and white ribbon with red stitching really make this simple HK Card stand out.

Since there is alot of background colors and dots going on, I decided to keep the HK background white  for the kitty to stand out. Simple... was the keyword on this project. I accented the"Stitched Postage Frame" Die with red stickles dots. They really stand out more in person.

To finish this simple and cute card I used two different sizes in hearts. The big heart was tied with a small scrap of hemp.
My two pattern papers were black and white polka dotted cardstock and pink and red stripes.
The sentiment came from the My Creative Time "LOTS OF LOVE" stamp set.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see what I created for today's challenge. Please be sure to stop by My Creative Time to see the rest of the Design Team Projects for this Challenge. Take Care and hope to inspire you a bit today!
